Guest Bio

Nitin was born in Edmonton and is one of the founding partners of SB LLP and Team Lead of our Corporate Commercial group.

Nitin has a practice that is highly focused on transactional files both in the corporate securities and banking sector, and the commercial real estate sector.

He is regularly involved in mortgage financing, leasing and development work. His experience has led him to work with clients that include land developers, retail/hospitality complex developers, major financial lenders, smaller scaled private lenders, chartered banks and credit unions, and members of the Alberta Real Estate Association.


Additionally, Nitin is intricately involved in matters relating to business purchases and sale transactions, with a large focus on franchise related purchase and sales.

Nitin is also involved in collaborating with his team on a variety of litigation, family and personal estate related matters for clients within Alberta.


Nitin has been a sessional professor at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Business and is currently a sessional professor at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Law in the area of Commercial Real Estate and Financing.


Nitin currently serves as a Director with the Mortgage Loans Association of Alberta and as Director with the South Asian Bar Association (Edmonton). He is a past Board Executive with The Maanaw Seva Society and The Edmonton Valley Zoo Development Society.
